Residents of Riga want to live on the island – 40% of apartments in the "Lucavsala" project have already been reserved

2024-03-22 |

Within a few weeks after the start of the construction of the first phase of the K1 building of the exclusive apartment complex "Lucavsala" by the real estate developer "Merks mājas", an incredible amount of interest has been received for the offered apartments – 40% of the apartments in the first building have already been reserved. The high demand can be explained by the great interest of the residents in living on the island and the advantages it provides – the proximity to nature and water, as well as proximity to the city. On the other hand, taking into account the limited supply of new projects in the area, this project provides a unique opportunity to move to the newest apartment stock with a wide variety of apartments and well-thought-out landscaping, while maintaining your favourite neighbourhood.

"We are very pleased with the residents' great interest in the first apartment complex in Lucavsala. We, as developers, have been looking at this project with great enthusiasm since its conception, and it is a pleasure to see that the residents have received it with the same enthusiasm. The desire and demand to live in Lucavsala reflects the growing desire of the residents to be close to nature without losing the comforts of city life. The great demand proves that the approach of "Merks mājas" – to not only create buildings for living, but also to develop a living environment with the feeling of home and lasting value for the city – is very attractive to Riga residents and suitable for the rhythm and needs of modern life," explains Mikus Freimanis, member of the board of “Merks mājas”.

In total, the development project includes three residential buildings of energy efficiency class A with 590 apartments and six commercial premises, as well as a multi-storey car park. By the second quarter of 2025, the construction of the first phase of the "Lucavsala" project, building K1, will be completed – one nine-story building will be built, which will contain 54 apartments with one to four rooms, fully furnished and with an area of 35 to 86 m2 will be available. So far, two-room apartments have been in the biggest demand – 75% of them have been reserved. The price of the apartments will vary from EUR 2095 to EUR 3375 per square meter.

The layouts of the apartments have been thought out to suit active and dynamic people who value efficiency and functionality in their living environment. The apartment complex provides a practical and cosy living environment, while the wide recreational opportunities, green environment and transport accessibility, make this place especially comfortable and attractive for living. Recreation areas and a city beach with the opportunity to relax by the water, well-equipped children's playgrounds, picnic areas, water attractions for adults and children, urban small gardens, which have become particularly popular among residents of Riga in recent years, bicycle paths and a skate park, as well as skiing tracks are available in the vicinity of Lucavsala. track in winter. Also, this will be one of the first projects in Riga, which also envisages the installation of a compact basketball court, soccer goal and an open-air gym on the roof of the adjacent parking lot.
